What does your realtor suggest? A good realtor will walk through your house and make recommendations, they know the market and what buyers are looking for and how much they will pay. Anytime I sell a house it must be clean clean clean and inviting. If you need to update anything do it before you put the house on the market, unless it is an "as is" type sale. The better the house looks the more money you can ask for it. So if it means repainting, changing a few fixtures, adding some curb appeal and spending a few dollars now to get thousands more later, well worth it if within your budget.
I have always heard when selling a home, a nice bathroom and kitchen are major factors on what the buyer is looking for. You do not have to spend tons of money to do this. Paint and maybe new flooring will be enough that is needed. Also, make sure that your bathroom is sparkling clean and that your accessories are neat and clean.
Depends On your zip code.
LOCATION. LOCATION, LOCATION..
Always consult a local, reputable realtor, AND FOLLOW HIS /HER ADVICE.
For example, where I live, contractors are buying sight unseen, and having bidding wars, to tear down, and build spec homes. Then come more bidding wars. Unbelievable.
so........
hey it is according to what u r asking for your house a bathroom up date can cost a lot of money. But on hgtv they do sell houses. Just like one already said make sure it is clean and maybe an up to date paint job... something that is the really in color... good luck
Instead of thinking about changing the fixtures in your bathroom, try painting the walls first to see if that doesn't make your fixtures look better. I have no idea of your décor but if your fixtures are green, perhaps a nice shade of white will lessen the impact.
Depending on what shade of green. I know when I was looking to buy my home 25 years ago a crisp clean kitchen & bathroom was a deciding factor that and a nice screened in porch. I found my little piece of heaven finally and now it's paid for :)
