How about a beaded curtain.
Cover a roller shade with fabric.
We just reno'd our kitchen & I was adament grease attracting blinds (wood or metal) were not going back in. I opted for dark slate, vinyl, mesh-like roller shades for night time privacy only. My kitchen is classic, white walls & cabinets, black & stainless appliances, white & dark speckled granite counters, & almost 2 walls of windows. I addied a short black & white striped valance to hide the headers, which can be taken down & washed regularly. Nothing else can hold odors, except for floor mats & they too are washed regularly. I love the look & everything in my kitchen has "cleanability"!! You can get them at Lowe's or Home Depot or any flooring & drapery store. Hope this helps.
Kitchen curtains come in many patterns and fabrics. Easy to take down and wash. A valence with cage curtains is nice too. Lets in light but protects privacy
