Use the tabs
Hang them from trees and bushes you want the birds to stay out of!
Use long nails to attach about six lids to a board, without nailing all the way through the board. Hang six round spools of twine, thread or ribbon from the nails. Thread a few inches of twine through the matching tab. Use a length of ribbon to tie on a pair of small scissors to a bottom nail. Sometimes I use kitchen twine, package wrapping twine, brown twine, balloon tying twine, thin ribbon, and thick thread for tying climbing plants to a window trellis. Got lots? Make them for friends.
They also make great backs for making ornaments or for pictures, lv pull tab in upright position so it will be the hanger- then paint, cover with material, or just glue lace or fancy ribbons ard edge and the last thing - glue on your picture and you are good to go. Nice gift for grandkids at Christmas with their school picture from last yr. Or one you have taken, add the dateon the back and each time it gets hung--fond memories will warm their hearts. Can even hang two or three on a row..just thread a ribbon thru the tabs, and glue on a piece of poster board for a nice wall hanging🌹
Stick them to the back of pictures or other works of craft art you want to hang up.
