How to hang a mirror that I hung glass tiles to frame. It's heavy.

    Check with your local hardware store . There are specific hooks /hardware that go according to the weight of whatever you want to hang. I had the same problem with a particularly heavy piece awhile back .

    I've hung some really heavy antique mirrors. I always use 2 - 3 strands of braided picture wire, through a heavy eye hook on either side. Then buy a 2 picture hangers for the weight of the piece - these are usually about an inch/inch & half long with the nail going through at an angle. Space the hangers out dividing width into 3rds, and gently lift the mirror out and slide on to hooks slowly. Never had one fall yet..

    Definitley use wall hangers, screws, etc. to carry the weight of your mirror. On larger heavier mirrors use hangers in the vertical molding, not the top. This ensures that the frame does not pull apart.
