There are nice prefab lightweight ones on the market. Architectural salvage shops often have them. You can also make your own with moldings. Lay it out on floor and experiment with different configurations before trying on ceiling.
i carved on out of wood on my scroll saw had a weird angle to deal with but there are tons out there depending on what your looking for
