I have an old white one with 3 trays, took the entire thing apart and spray painted the trays. The legs are chrome and cleaned up nicely so no need to paint them. I plan to use mine as a side table in the family room, really cute.

Oh, I would use it for all my sewing notions,and the machine. Or in your craft area,paper crafts,tools etc.
I spray painted one and it turned out great. Use decorative tape on the
edges for more flair.
Measure the top for a large butcher block to be glued then screwed on. You can paint it white or any other color to match your kitchen first .
