Rustoleum tub and tile paint kit.
If the tile is otherwise in good condition you could have them professionally reglazed and change the color. A friend and also a neighbor of ours both opted for this method at a fraction of the cost to replace and both turned out beautifully and really updated their tired rooms.
You can paint the tile.
I've been in flooring with my husband for 20 + years and from my experiences......If the green tile is bonded to the original foundation...not hollow, cracked or loose. You can lay another ceramic tile right on top. I've done it MANY times in my 20 + yrs of flooring. You will have to buy a thinset or mortar that is made for going tile over tile. Ask your local big box store or flooring store and they will know what to sell you. But you have to be sure the original tile is still bonded. Knock around the floor with a wooden broom handle and listen for hollow spots. If none then your good to go. Hope this helps!
Go on etsy.com and look up Tile Decals they are peel and stick, removable! You can customize the size, there are all kinds of colors, designs! They have them for walls. Floors. I'm going to get some for my staircase. Just research who to order from.
Look up DAICH products (I hope that's the right way to spell it) it's a mix of epoxy paint mixed w/ real stone. Used it on ugly blue formica countertops and everybody went wild - they thought I had gotten new ones. I found it online and got 2 "kits" to do two rows of countertops. I used the beige w/ black/brown/red flecks mixed in but they had a black granite that was pretty.
well changing the grout color will help , maybe add a runner and molding on floor what is it wood or tile if it's tile replace it with a nice 3" trim and paint the same color as bathroom
Depending on how much ugly tile you have and where it is (countertop, walls, floor), you can either replace it or as Shawn suggested, put new tile over the ugly green yourself. Trust me on this, you really can do it even if you have never done so much as hammer in a nail. When I bought my home 20 years ago, I had never done any type of home improvement at all, but a number of things needed to be repaired or changed, and not having sufficient $$ to hire it done, I began doing the work myself by first reading the instructions, duh! watching YouTube videos and asking for help and advice from the guys at Home Depot. I can't begin to tell you how helpful these fellows were. I started out simple by replacing a couple of bedroom doorknobs and worked my way up from there. After a relatively short time, I was able to tile the bathroom floor and a kitchen backsplash by finding easy to understand instructions online. The Home Depot guys filled in the missing info. Also, I learned that I didn't really need as many tools as I thought I would for the projects i did. The only "power" tool I had back then was a drill, but I was still able to do most everything i needed to by using my screwdrivers, hand saw, miter box, assorted wrenches, a tape measure and a hammer. If you have never tried laying tile yourself, I hope you will try doing it. What's the worst that can happen? The green tile is already ugly, so whatever you do to it, good or bad, isn't going to make it uglier, right? And you'll find out that you won't need a lot of fancy or expensive tools, and u will save a ton of $$. Even the tile cutting can be accomplished with an inexpensive little tool that u use to "score" the tile and then snap it off. Good Luck with whatever you decide to do with ur ugly green tile.
There are a number of paints or glazes that will go over tile. Check with your local paint department. Some even offer classes.
I agree with painting them. I have seen so many nice outcomes of this. Good Luck, show pictures when you are done!
