Many have used baby oil rubbing the opposite way against the grain.
Olive oil works also. Wipe with one soft cloth and shine with another.
I love Weimans spray. It cleans and polishes without a lot of rubbing. Lasts a long time.
PLEDGE LEMON works best. I've tried the oil type of polishing. Though they work, they attract & keep dust stuck on.
First wash your frig. with soapy clean rag. No need to rinse. Wipe it dry with paper towels or rag. Spray on the lemon pledge being generous with it. Wipe down with clean rag going with the grain. POOF A NEW FRIG.
It will last a long time before needing another cleaning. It will also repel the dust.
We bought SS fridge & stove top when we bought our house a couple of years ago and I was sure I'd made a huge mistake bc of the upkeep. I tried everything: 409, windex, pledge, pump SS cleaner, vinegar & H2O, and nothing worked. It would streak and the prints would return as soon as I touched it. Then I discovered Weiman SS cleaner/polish (bought it at home Depot but my local super market also carries it) and it works great and the shine lasts a long time. Sprays on like a foam and I use paper towels to clean it, then a clean paper towel to polish/dry if needed. Very little effort for a big payoff. So happy I didn't give up on the SS appliances. They sparkle now.
Barkeeper's Friend on a soft cloth. Touch up occasionally, maybe every month or so.
Actually if you spray the appliance with vinegar and wipe clean with a soft cloth, then take another soft cloth and put olive oil on it, wipe it down good going with the grain. I did this about a month ago and I just went over it with the cloth with the olive oil on it and it refreshed it right up. I'm planning on doing this (cleaning with vinegar and treating with olive oil) about every three to four months depen ding on the continued results.
