On one of my regular trips to my local Goodwill I found a lone encyclopedia volume for 50 cents. While I don't love the idea of cutting up books, I figured this particular book was a good candidate for a new life! It turns out the large, thin pages of encyclopedias make them great candidates for beautiful paper flowers. Incorporate layers of tissue paper to add a pop of color.

One encyclopedia volume will provide you with enough paper to make hundreds of flowers (if you want to make that many, that is!).
A vase of these flowers look so pretty in your home year round, but especially spring!
For this project all you need is an encyclopedia (or other similar book), colorful tissue paper, scissors, and floral wire.
Making the flowers requires a simple accordion fold. Head to my blog for the full step-by-step encyclopedia flower tutorial!
