What are you trying to glue?
I just read the package when purchasing to know that it is the correct application for its intended use. You can always Google to find out. That is what I do when I have a perplexing situation.
E6000 works with just about anything. Gorilla Glue does as well but caution on that one-- make sure you get the clear drying because typical Gorilla Glue does not dry clear. Also, Gorilla Glue expands as it dries so if you are looking to fill a hole with it, leave a little room at the top otherwise it can expand beyond the hole be visible.
My Favorite crafting glue for everything is in a yellow and (now) blue tube called Quick Grip. It dries clear, is flexible, acid free and is like a super glue. If you hold it for 60 seconds, it will be fixed. Then you can roll it off your hands like a rubber cement. It can be purchased at Walmart for $3.47. If you let the item cure overnight, it is permanent. You'll love it!
Depends on the project. I read the back of the package to see if it will work for my project . I have also found that sometimes glues that claim to work on a particular surfaces don't always work. Trial & error seems to be my watch word sometimes!
