I have a queen size bed in dire need of a bedskirt! I have no sewing skills and would prefer not to have to pick up the top mattress to put it on. Go!

Oooo... I love Velcro. I use it for so many things. I have big keyring holder in the closet, but I needed a little one in the kitchen for my car keys. I found a small one at a yard sale for a quarter. I don't like to put holes in the walls if I don't have to, so I grabbed my Velcro . Attached one part to the tile (backsplash gone wild) & other piece on the hanger!! Viola!

I bought a queen-sized bedskirt at Walmart for around $12. It had elastic around the top and I used the spiral upholstery pins to hold it in place. It just seems to me that you couldn't make one as cheap as that.

You can get them with Velcro fastenings.

I would buy a inexpensive flat Queen sheet.. measure to floor and pin corners to box spring or Velcro each corner and press creases with iron in each corner.

Even if they go over the bottom mattress, two people can easily put one on with no fuss.

I have a queen bed; bought a king size white top sheet. I took off the top mattress, and put the sheet on bottom mattress, making sure all sides are even (did not cover the top of bed). My husband helped me lift the top mattress back on. It cannot move or shift. Opps, forgot to say iron first!

I have trouble lifting the queen size top mattress and help us not always available. Here's what I did. I have bed skirts that came with comforter sets. I took one and cut out the center that is tucked underrneath the mattress. I started about 12-18 inches above the skirt fabric and cut all the way around in a "u" shape. Then I tuck the 12-18 inches under the queen mattress and it seems to stay in place. Now I can change the bed skirt all by myself

Don't remember where I first saw this idea but a lady took muslin, ripped it into strips and tied it around the metal bed frame with an overhand knot. Gave the bedroom an adorable country/shabby chic look. I'm going to do this on my own bed soon.
