I love the look of two old doors hinged together. Or a few tall shutters all hinged together. You can find these two items at a Habitat for Humanity - Restore.
How about three louvered doors hinged together...... /\/
A wardrobe or armoire with a tall plant on one side and a coat or blanket rack on the other side to balance the look. I once had a little sewing room in a corner behind a tall chest of drawers and a computer desk set at an angle.
I like tall bookcases to shield work and kitchen areas, so then I double my storage. Sometimes I cover back of bookcase with wallpaper, or fabric so it looks good on living room side. I have also seen people tack lots of family photos on back for photo center.
