I've sprayed with something specific for p.i. and also Roundup, but the p.i. still keeps coming back.
Goats! They love to eat it and can clear a large area fairly quickl. On cape cod there are farms that rent them out out just for this purpose.
DO NOT BURN IT .. ,the oil gets in your eyes n produces poison oak / poison ivy in your eyes .. a trip to the hospital for that .. ask me how i know! .. be very carefull with these two!!

They actually bring them in, herd them while they eat the evil ivy and then take them back home! It's amazing....must cost $$$.
I Buy the Ortho Poison Ivy and big brush killer, it works really well. I am very allergic to posion oak

spray with vinegar. it worked for us.
Dissolve one cup salt in a gallon of water and add a tablespoon of dish soap to create a solution that can be sprayed on poison ivy.

Hi Tyronda, hope this helps you. Try cutting the vine about 6" above where it comes out of the ground. Put some full strength white vinegar on both of the cut ends by dipping them into a cup full of white vinegar. Do this all along the length of the vines. Repeat if necessary.
