You can also use some regular old toothpaste, not the gel kind, but the white paste kind. It has a mind abrasive in it. Get the brass wet and scrub it gently with this toothpaste and an old toothbrush. Then rinse it off in cold water and dry it with a clean dry cloth. Polish it up by gently rubbing it, making sure all the toothpaste is off and you'll be amazed at how quickly and brilliantly it will polish right up. If your hand get tired of scrubbing invest in a soft bristled battery operated toothbrush. Then, all you have to do it hold the brass and the toothbrush with the toothpaste on it together. Easy Peasy!
