Just be aware that if it's never been painted before if you paint it if you ever want to remove it you'll probably have to skim coat it

Or you can use a shake painter, pressing up and down, take a while but works good. or spraying small sections , you could even use a white can of spray paint would work too. or even a thicker roller, they hold a lot of paint and are heavy but work well too. You can figure on a lot of paint with a bigger / thicker roller.

I have painted popcorn ceilings using a spiral roller, cut like a spiral sliced ham. If you can't find one, use the thickest roller you can find.

Use a thick, segmented foam roller on textured ceiling. First, prep and dust the ceiling. Cover everything in the room that will be exposed to the possible paint spattering. ALWAYS wear a dust mask, safety goggles and hair covering. Roll or spray paint any water stained spots to cover so they don't bleed through. Paint Over the popcorn ceiling. Paint in one direction and stop. Hope this helps!
