You can purchase some stainless steel spray paint. That might get you close to your desired look. Krylon makes a good one.
Is that a stainless steel look, or is it a waxed grey with a glossy topcoat? Monitors are so fickle to tell.
If you want stainless steel in a nickle, go to your local box hardware store and pick up some metallic spray paint, Rustoleum has a great one that produces different types of finishes such as hammered and matte metallics.
If you are looking for the brushed stroke affect, you will need to determine which type of paint you want and find the color of grey you prefer in said paint (acrylic, chalk, milk, etc...), and then use a white and an antique glaze process before you put on topcoat with sheen. Hop on General Finishes or on Miss Mustard Seeds websites for different options of paint texturing.
Just had our oak cabinets done grey but had it done professionally. First they wiped them down with a degreaser, sanded lightly, two coats of primer and then 2 coats of Benjamin Morre Insl-x Cabinet Coat Urethane Acrylic Satin paint. I picked White Stone grey and changed the hinges and handles to satin
nickel finish. I am very pleased with the look.
