You can put halogen light bulbs in most lights. Really bright.
Halogen lights have been known to cause house fires. But thank you. My crazy husband loves those stupid LEDs so we will likely wind up with those for bulbs. I just don't like the frosted shades that block or diffuse most of the light.
Hi, replacing light fixtures is one of the first things I do when I move into a new house. I shop at Lowes or Home Depot and purchase the fixtures which allow you to point the lights in any direction. I point one on washer and dryer, one towards the entrance from the garage door and one towards a closet door. These are halogen lights and the fixtures I select do not have globes. As I hate globes and the need to clean the dust from each. I have installed one of these in my closet and point one bulb towards each wall and one towards the back wall. Good luck. Also, these usually cost about 49.99 to 59.99 depending, as I get the oil rubbed bronze and fixtures with three bulbs.
We replaced two florescent fixtures with LED can lighting in my Kitchen. Used the retro fit and got rebates on all of them from the power company. Love the fact they are dimmable and are a cleaner look.
Put Led lightning it will last around 20 000 hours. Led do no consume a lot of electricity to have good lightning.
I agree with the LED's. There are many choices now and they are very bright cool to the touch compared to halogen, They are a little more expensive than regular but are much much much cheaper to run. The brightness will surprise you and they have replacement bulbs that will fit what ever fixture you pick.
