Old Pine TV Cabinet Gets a New Paint Job - ASCP Emperor Silk

Recently I painted a Whites treadle sewing cabinet with Emperor Silk ASCP. I loved the colour and decided to keep it for our lounge. I swapped the old orange pine tv cabinet out for the treadle cabinet and the TV now sits on the top with the DVD recorder on the treadle. So what to do with the old TV cabinet now? Well, I decided to use up some of the Emperor Silk paint and give it a new look. I also bought new cabinet pulls on ebay which are so pretty and only cost about six dollar for two including the postage from China. Such a pretty selection they had. These have two little blue birds sitting on some red foilage. Perfect compliment to the Emperor Silk red. Prettied the cabinet up no end. All this project took was to wash the cabinet down with a degreasing agent, wait for it to dry and apply the paint. Two coats. No sanding required. Removed the old pulls which came unscrewed quit easily and replaced with the new. Now holds my old music unit and CD player.
Forgot to say that I did wax it with brown wax after. The blotches you may see on the shelf are the wood grain which was a little rough. I am not worried about them (could have sanded them flat) but we can't see them from where we sit in the lounge so I am not going to fuss over it. Had I been going to sell this piece I probably would have sanded it first.
