Stripping off A LOT of chalk paint

I compared 4 different paints. I had a board that I tried 3 different homemade chalk paints and Annie Sloan chalk paint. I put the same # of coats, and sanded them all and put the same minwax paste wax on them. The 3 homemade were ok but Annie Sloan came out on top. I have used her paint for about 4 years now, and still love it. Between my daughter and I, we have most of her colors. It is expensive , about $38 a qt., but it goes a long ways. My daughter painted a twin size bed with drawers underneath and only used 1 qt. After you paint with her paint, it's as smooth as glass. I bought her wax but prefer minwax or polyurethane. Hope this helps.
