Drywall person made a mess of our kitchen ceiling.

Contractor then sprayed it with texturizing spray and wiped it with a dry paper towl, what a mess. Help!

Seems like he tried to create some kind of texture with the paper towel. I would get him back and correct the problem. If he refuses, get someone else to correct the problem and bill the first guy.
I agree with William. You should call the first guy back.

I would call the guy to come back to repair the problem.
Thank you for your suggestions, we're going with a new guy and our contractor will cover the repair cost.
