What's the best flower/plant to grow in Texas?
I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
I just put a pile of salt on them, dribble water on top and let the sun do the work for me. Then carefull dig out and dispose of it.
Salt is cheap - that's why people use it, but don't realize they are killing the soil along with their weeds. Nothing will grow in soil with too much salt in it. Plus, enough salt and it'll percolate into the water table.
Just dig the weeds with their roots out. Don't let them go to seed.
Don't kill them. Honeybees use them for food. Help save the honeybees!!
As a fellow bee keeper they are important but dandelions can be a nuisance also. The trick is to ensure you get the main root. There is a tool that you can get just for this purpose.
Always look for the new buds that are hidden under the leaves, and make sure you pick these too. Do NOT let them go to seed, for this will be used to plant new plants. You sure don't want that. Always check your neighbors lots. If they don't care of this plants, then your task will be tougher, for then you will get all theirs, and others, as the winds increase. Neighbors sometimes care, and the other one doesn't care, and the winds will carry more seeds to your lot as well. You can use the early Weed and Feed, and this will help you kill the weeds, and for your lawn, it will Feed the good grass. Enjoy, for we love our lawn.
don't kill them. Go to your computer and research them first. Look up the experiments that Canada doctors have done on them and cancer. I don't think you will want to kill them. May save a life someday.
I use Spectracide broad leaf herbicide. Works well and is more bee friendly than some brands.
