How do you kill poison ivy without hurting wildlife?

I have poison ivy growing from the water co. property spreading into my yard and up my trees. Ive tried some spraus2but it comes back.

    That is because you are not getting the spray into the root system. Try Orthos Brush-B-Gone after cutting the ivy as far back as you can and wear a mask.

    You can pour vinegar on the plant where it comes out of the ground. It may take 2 or3 Applications but it will kill it.

    Vinegar works on a lot of weeds, just make sure you cover what you don't want to kill of

    never ever burn the poison ivy vines - the stuff that gives most people the ivy itch will become air born and can do damage to your lungs. even if the vines look dead- don't burn.

    3 cups white vinegar

    1/2 cup table salt

    1 tablespoon liquid detergent or soap (I use Dawn) for stick-to-itiveness.

    Directions

    1. Mix vinegar and salt until the salt is completely dissolved. Stir in liquid dish soap, and pour into a spray bottle.
    2. Spray onto the green growing leaves of the plants.
    3. Wait a week, then repeat on any survivors. Best time to apply: during a dry spell.

    Repeat as necessary.
