Ask l hair salon for hair cuttings and sprinkle on the surface of your vegetable garden. Also ground pepper works... though when it rains it goes away.
Spreading human hair will not keep the critters away. You can try making a mixture with hot pepper and crushed garlic, but this will have to be constantly applied.
Get a couple of statues of owls and put them on posts or a wall near your garden .
Use fox urine granules. You will need to reapply after a rain but it works! Good luck.
My husband pees around the roses in my yard and the deer stay completely away ( we live in the country) it really works!!
We bought coyote urine from our green house folks and sprayed it under the grape vines and the racoons who were always eating our grapes never came back anymore. We didn't mind them eating the grapes but it was irritating that they sat on our window sills to pee and poop grape seeds all over our house. Havent seen a racoon since we sprayed.
Coyote, Bobcat, Fox and Human urine are all effective deterrents but they do have to be reapplied. This recipe also has to be reapplied but is good for those that are averse to using urine. Garlic and Cayenne Pepper Spray. Use 1/2 cup garlic, crushed or powder, 1/2 cup cayenne pepper and a cou cups of water. Let it "brew" outside for a day
or two and then add a few drops of dish soap. Stir and spray on garden and the plants your rabbits seem to love. It's also helpful to mux a little cayenne pepper into the dirt surrounding your plants.
Shiny things will deter some animals. I have strung beads, bells, and small mirrors into decorations. Hang so they move in the wind. Have kept the deer away.
This is what we have used for the past two years in our garden....it works really well! Just remember to shut off the water before you walk into the garden area or you WILL get hit with a shot of water! lol http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/scarecrow-sprinkler-motion-activated-animal-deterrent-p-3327.html?keyword=scarecrow%20sprinkler&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=(ROI)%20Sprinklers%20-%20Search&utm_term=scarecrow%20sprinkler&utm_content=Scarecrow%20Sprinkler
p.s. it's cheaper on Amazon.....https://www.amazon.com/ScareCrow-Motion-Activated-Animal-Repellent/dp/B000071NUS/ref=sr_1_1?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1493071857&sr=1-1&keywords=scarecrow+sprinkler
Buy moth balls or what we call camphor balls- the deer will run miles -Break the big balls in to small bits and surround your flowers roots beds just sprinkle all on the beds , bunnies too will run away-this is tried and tested by me
I have heard put human hair around the plants, but not sure that is a winner. small fences work. I try not to you a lot of chemicals near our garden. My best answer is plant extra (that is what we do) critters have to eat too.
