My kitchen has been the same color, a pumpkin color for 9 years! Yuck

Not sure what your taste is, but with dark countertops, I would think you'd want to go lighter rather than darker, right? Some sort of pastel color could really open up the room!
Hi linda61951
what color are the floors ? I would definitely go a light color you will be amazed how much it will open that up! I would look at a soft beige color or even a a soft yellow. If you're going to do that you were going to have to change the color of the cupboards they'll send more pictures and we can send more ideas!
I think a light green color would go great with cabinets and countertop
I like Wendi's idea. Perhaps a pale celadon green like my kitchen and breakfast area. I have honey oak cabinets and black accents. My childhood home kitchen was painted pale celadon most of the time and I loved it. I hear a lot of dislike for honey oak cabinets and I love those also. Chinese celadon vases come in many shades. The vase is of the color I call pale celadon.
I too like the green idea that Wendi suggested. black goes well with green. Have fun!π
I think gray would look great, too. It is a new basic color. You could then use most any color for pop.....red, green, yellow, plum...lots of others. Visit the paint store to see color chips. Take your time and enjoy the possibilities.
