Websites linking Hometalk posts
I may be wrong but my my question is this, Can they use my post as a review on their site without my permission or can they get Hometalks permission to use it?

Foam Crown Moulding....It' so easy. Completed job pictures
Installing foam crown moulding, its so EASY and the kitchen was under $100 Completed Pictures Added I am installing styrofoam crown moulding for the second time. This time in my kitchen. If you love the look of crown moulding but don't have the skill or $$ for wood this is a great alternative. It looks just like high end crown moulding after you paint it. It is so easy because the back is flat for easy cutting and positioning. I took some before, during and after pictures.I buy the crown moulding from www.creativecrown.com ...»P.S. I don't work for them nor did they ask me to endorse them.

Diane Carlisle on Jan 07, 2014I would think since you listed their website in your comment that it automatically linked your comment to their own hometalk page as well as their website. I'm just guessing at this. I really don't know.Helpful Reply

Yair Spolter on Jan 08, 2014Hi Mary, When you post information on the internet, anyone can go ahead and link to it as they please. Just like you can link to their website, they can link from their website to your Hometalk post. Since your post is a nice way of displaying how their product can be useful, they chose to use that to show people. If it were me, I would consider it a compliment. I don't think that people will think you are actively endorsing the company. When they read your post they will take it for what it is - a great project posted on Hometalk - nothing more. If for any reason you don't like the link to your post appearing on their page, I suggest you contact the company and request that they change the link.Helpful Reply
