Have you tried Windex [it does deter bugs as well] for the stubborn ones & plastic netting? By plastic netting I'm referring to the type used to hold oranges/apples/onions [store packaging] & the netting around turkeys & ham...I take the netting, remove tags & any metal pieces & twist it upon itself & add to it other netting until I have a 'scrub-ball' &use it to wash down the tub & shower or buckets, etc. Works great for cleaning flower pots patio furniture!

My question as I watched these grandparents was always, "Why are you sweeping your yards, and why is there no grass around your house?" We have grass around ours.
Be sure to wash vehicles asap. Love bugs will affect the paint
Dryer sheets and a little bit of dawn detergent in the water when you wash .
