Whose dogs? Yours? The neighbors? If neighborhood dogs, just post a sign. That is what a few people in my area do. They should be on a leash anyway. Not everyone is a "pet person" and there are lots of things people use, most are cruel, cayenne, chili powder, etc. Peppermint oil misted around the perimeter should do the trick.
