Where is the palm inside or outside?What kind of palm is it?
I'm not sure what kind of palm you have, but if you have new shoots coming out you probably just need to trim off the dead ones (the brown ones). Cutting off the dead branches will encourage the palm to keep growing nicely.
i just give my palms a haircut every once in a while. Snip off the brown ends or take the leaf off if it's entirely brown.
