Did at any point you prune them and if so when? What kind of Hydrangea do you have and in what lighting conditions is it in?

Some Hydrangeas bloom from new wood, and some bloom from old wood. Usually the ones that bloom from 'new' wood don't have problems because with new growth, there is also blooms. If it is the type Hydrangea that blooms from 'old' wood, and if the cultivars died off in the winter months, it won't bloom the next year generally. This is because it is growing new wood and hence you won't get the bloom. Big leaf commonly has this issue. They usually bloom pink or blue. Do you know what type yours are?

Also Hydrangea's like acid soil. I feed mine all my coffee grounds and used tea bags. I have some really happy Hydrangeas. The only time I prune mine are if they get too big or gangly. After they finish blooming is the best time, gives them a change to regrow. Sometimes location has a lot to do with them blooming, Can you share where your bushes are planted in your yard?
