Convert Scrap Wood Into a Beautiful Centerpiece

Happy Spring! If you make projects out of wood, you likely have a big pile of scrap wood. I love trying to come up with ideas to use them creatively.
I started with a whole bunch of scrap wood pieces. It doesn't matter if they are painted from before since we will be repainting them again anyways.
I found an arrangement that worked and glued and clamped them together. When figuring out the arrangement, it is best to take some pictures so you have a reference to get back to!
Once they were all glued, I made holes large enough to hold the tapered candles. These were about an inch deep. I painted the entire piece in my favorite shade of blue!
I glued seashells using hot glue all around the candle holder. The seashells are very special... they have been gathered by my daughter on all of our trips to beach. This makes a perfect way to show case them!
You will love how this candle holder turned out! It is so summery and beachy! It is the perfect addition to my Patio set. This can be used indoors too with any coastal decor or also make the perfect centerpiece at any coastal or beach themed event or wedding. The best part is making this was completely free!

@AnikaGandhi. This candleholder is gorgeous. You must have used 2x2s to drill 1"wide holes for tapers. Do you think it would take 4x4s in order to drill holes for battery tealights? I like the tea lights because they don't blow out in the wind. I also have a bunch of seashells that are sentimental to me, but they are just in a bag in a drawer. Not to sound like a copycat, but your color is my favorite of three special colors. Best wishes!
