Sprinkle baking soda over the entire couch & let sit overnight. Then vacuum thoroughly. Baking soda works as a natural deodorizing agent that will draw any odours out of the sofa. Good luck!
Sprinkle baking soda on it to absorb the odors.
i would put the baking soda in socks and put under cushions and on top and cover with sheets for less mess to vacuum up!
I would contact the people next door to claim it on their insurance and either have it replaced or professionally cleaned. Why should your daughter have to worry about it?
Have the insurance company give you a quote on having it cleaned and deodorized. But, first check on the deductible if it is your insurance company. Otherwise, sprinkle the backing soda on it and let it sit for a few days. Then vacuum it and with a damp sponge soaked with vinegar, go over the couch lightly. DAMP sponge, almost dry. Odor should be gone.
