What can happen after a pine tree is cut down?
Once a pine tree is cut down can lawn or flowers be planted and survive?

Eventually - if the area gets sufficient sun for the variety of plants you choose - pine bark, and pine needles are frequently used as 'mulch' under shrubbery to retain moisture and deter weed growth. Rake/till the soil where the tree/overhang was, and if you are really concerned about amending the soil, get a soil test done by your local Agricultural Extension Agent/Office -- don't go adding stuff unless you know what the soil needs - if anything!
That will all depend on the condition of the soil,however there are ways around that.Create container gardens and plant annuals or perennials based on your zone.
