It's from China. The marks on the bottom are the very old style Chinese characters, though it is almost certain that this piece Ăs not old, unfortunately. How much did you pay for it?

It looks Chinese and an older mark. But marks have been copied and faked. The varied patterns and details are not consistent with what Chinese porcelain is. I may be wrong but there is just too much there. You do need to really have it checked out professionally. Maybe a certified auction house or a museum curator.
