You can make a handle with a rebar for you fan!
Zip ties maybe, not sure what you're wanting to do or why.
Hi, Box fan plastic blades to spin in the wind. Tried zip ties. Working ok. need to secure tighter. Been slipping down the rod. Also thought to glue zip tis to the rod so will not slide. Thank You
maybe put a wing of twisted wire around the rebar so it can't slide down. Use a heavier duty zip tie, the white 1/4" type. Or you might also be able to use a pipe fastner, or a get a small hose clamp (I use those to keep shower bottle holders from sliding down the shower fixture)
LONG ZIP TIES: put them through where the screws hold the back piece to the frame of the box frame, run the zip tie through that hole and around the rebar and back into the head lock of the zip tie, then trim off excess.
