Patti on Jan 08, 2014Start by pouring baking soda down the drain followed by a healthy amount of vinegar. This will cause a foaming action that should unclog. After pour a hot kettle of water. This should tell you one way or the other.Helpful Reply

Judy on Jan 08, 2014Drains are built to drain. There should never be enough standing water in them to freeze so my guess is they're clogged.Helpful Reply

Susan Wright Jobson on Jan 08, 2014it would seem to me that if your water lines are freely running, both hot and cold, then your drains will run freely also. If not put the vinegar and baking soda down drain followed by boiling hot water. If you think they are frozen put a small heater under sink being careful to not touch anything with the heater. Hopefully this helps.Helpful Reply

Freda on Jan 08, 2014If your water freely runs from the faucet, then it's probably not frozen. It probably is just stopped up and any of these ideas should work. Pouring hot water AFTER the baking soda/vinegar should help, also.Helpful Reply

Susan on Jan 08, 2014Listen for dripping/running water under the sink/floor. A frozen pipe will burst or thaw out in time. If enclosed, open the doors below the sink and let warm air get to the pipes. Keep listening and try slowing pouring hot water from a pan down the sink...it will either go down or not. If frozen it will be below where you can see the pipe go below the flooring...Helpful Reply
