posts can be longer than needed for height of swing desired, just bury them at least a foot into the ground

If you have trees in your yard that are not too far apart --you can use them. We had two trees just far enough apart to anchor a piece of weather sturdy wood between them, and then hung the swing to hang freely, using hooks we put into the weathered wood and the chains on the swing. Looks great!!!

You can build an A-frame , then you won't have to bury posts or hurt the trees.

Use concrete in five or ten gallon buckets and put each leg in a bucket of cement. The kids can swing high and not worry about the swing set tipping!

There are screw-in the ground anchors made for this. Screw those into ground next to each leg & attach leg to anchor. Simple to do.
