How to touch up the color on a Formica countertop
My Formica countertop is starting to wear at the seams. The color is fading. Is there anyway to touch up the worn spots?
I don't know if you can do anything now. I know that when you are doing your pour you are suppose to use a heat gun over it to help the bubbles dissipate.
do you think sanding will help?
I think what happened using the non recommended sealer created what some of us call "fish eyes". Try using 600 grit sanding paper in a small area with a light touch using a circular motion. Then use a wipe on polyurethane. (It's oil based and can be easily applied with an old sock or microfiber cloth.) Before you do all this, contact Giani for their suggestion. I'm sure they've assisted with many issues. Best of luck.
