How can I turn old bottles into bug lanterns?

I have old"er" bottles I want to transform into citronella lanterns, but I want to protect/preserve the labels. Any recommendations? The labels have great pictures and color, I'm afraid the sun will ruin them...

Krylon makes a few products that may help. They make a UV-resistant clear coating spray, and they also make a Weatherproof/Waterproof Label Overcoat Spray.
