Small Space Living

January seems to be a favourite time for organizing so I thought I would share our laundry reality and how I have found a way to make it work. Our laundry is in a little pantry off the kitchen and given that our house is small I found myself looking at this every day and struggling for a way to make it "pretty".
So, I sewed up a pair of curtains to hide it up. Not too original I know but I have been having fun with it ever since. I now have different curtains for different seasons... silly perhaps but a fun change in a small house where changes are not always easy. The red and white one works as a fun >santa skirt> at Christmas, the yellow stripe is great in the summer and the green one has been a favourite one for fall. I am putting together a winter one. The cost is so low that it really is an inexpensive change that adds a touch of whimsy to our house.

White Oak Studio Designs on Nov 25, 2014I love the brightness of the yellow and white striped curtain. It brightened up that room, especially when the snow is on the ground and the light of the day gets so dim. Where did you get those three lovely green jars with lids (on the counter near the wall)? I LOVE those! I want those!!
