Can you post a picture of the closet? Go to this blog and see mine. If I can look at yours I can get an idea of what you have to work with. Photograph the whole room. www.autumnaire.blogspot.com

@Cheryl Yes def. would need dimensions, also handy might be a list of things you son has to keep stored in there besides clothes and shoes. Besides using closet is there room in your son's bedroom for a small Armoire? You could look at thrift shops or craigslist for 1 (also if military base of any type near you search bookoo.com then find your base-- military personnel sell like craigslist on those), or using plywood or pallets you could build one.(plenty of DIY here or on pinterest to making one) And plywood or pallets could be used as wood also to make closet organizers. Finishing easy to do paint or stain. (if no room for free standing Armoire -maybe could use hutch with doors (top only accessible) as headboard (paint/stain, decoupage doors with a poster?) and use dresser drawers , boxes, or crates on wheels for under bed storage. He could either use Armoire as clothing storage and put organizers in closet for excess books and such storage or vice versa.

He would mostly use the clothes hanging area a lot as he wears a lot of dress shirts ,pants. to school.
