Besides playing with mixing colors and getting ready for our new workshops, so experimenting with foils and gilding waxes for you. I completed this lovely little desk for a client who wanted a coastal layered look. I love painting this way. When painting a layered look, I found it best to dampen the brush first in water, not wet, just damp then into our lovely Chalk Paint® I brush on one thin coat and let dry. Then repeat randomly with other colors. I use different brushes to get different brush strokes and textures. Then I used a technique called wet wax for the final touch. Client loved it, hmmm! may think about teaching this in one of my workshops, so many techniques and so little time. LOL

@Cheryl Frampton - Thank you. Hope I can remember this when I do my next project. One further question: how do you determine when the paint is less than 100% dry??

Its just starts to change color as it dry's. Annie's paint dry's very quickly so less then 20 mins. You will get the hang of it, why not paint on a bit of wood first until you automatically get the hang of it.
