What's the different types of Paint?

There are so many types of paint and I am not familiar with them. Would someone please explain the types and the uses. Thanks in advance.

What paint are you referring to?
The paint that you all talk about unicorn spit, fusion, mod podge, just various craft/diy projects. I do not remember the name of the other paints. Also I was wondering if a person could use liquid wax such as Johnson instead of the paste wax? My arthritic hands would not last long for paste, but if I have to then I will use it.
