Carpenter bees are pollinators, which help crops, gardens and wild flora. Please don't use methods that would kill them! Our planet NEEDS our bees to survive. Contact a local bee-keeper. Most of them are happy to come and capture/collect bees and re-home them.
Exactly dont kill them!!!
They won't drill thru painted surfaces.
They do not drill completely through the wood, only far enough to lay their eggs. I just leave them alone.
