Locate Bermuda growing in the flower bed by underground rhizomes. Dig down into the soil of the bed with a shovel to locate the end of the Bermuda rhizome. Remove the rhizome with a combination of pulling and digging so that you remove as much of the plant as possible and any associated roots.
THANK YOU!
also a metal border along the edge of the bed (pushed in at least 2") will stop the runners....but if you don't keep the grass mowed and allow it to seed, the seeds become airborne....best way is dig it up...looks like a nut at the end of the root
we keep the grass mowed (my son is anal about this), it's those runner that drive us crazy. I have pulled and plucked and dug between both houses, a total of eleven years! I will suggest the metal border. Haven't tried that! Thanks.
Sounds like a on-going dig and pull project. Just hope you don't get morning glory too!
