Good Morn., Patty, I would plant Mary Golds around the flower bed, or pot, for the the pests DO NOT like the scent of this. Also, when your plants are not in blossom, then you will have blossoms from the Mary Gold. It is lovely, to remember, for this comes in handy for many plants. Just save the blossoms and you can start the NEW plants next yr., from these blossoms. This is great, and they smell so fresh, and deer, rabbits, and other pests do NOT like the scent. I plant my herbs in pots and keep them out of the garden and I never have a problem with bugs and others bothering them. I have my strawberries in hanging pots for the same reason.
