Do remember to seal the furniture...especially if it is going to be exposed to the elements or simply use pressure treated wood, if you decide to build it yourself. So the biggest thing you want to decide is what kind of change you were looking for in a certain area. And the least expensive ways to start with that is to bring some of what you have in another part of your home or even in the garage...to that space and then simply clean it up, paint it , sand and stain it..however it suit its new location.
