Before you decide on giving up do you do preventive maintanence on your vegetables. Bugs are nature ,you have to apply natural insects controls etc.
Thank you for your comments.
I have been using some natural deterrents. I suppose I will have to step up my methods.
Have you tried kaolin clay? One of the brand names is Surround and it is suppose to keep sucking and chewing bug from getting to your veggies. I am trying it for the first time this year to help my squash plants that suffer death and destruction from squash bugs. I gave up on them for 3 years and yet the little buggers came back last year and decimated my garden. I understand BT will kill the worms, but it is also detrimental to other butterfly worms, so use cautiously. Good luck, I know first hand how frustrated you must feel.
my mom grew everything and never had bugs shed spray the garden with soapy water at least once a month and keeps bugs away
dusting your plants with flour and salt helps. The salt dries up the eggs, the flour clogs up the mouths of the worms so they die. You have to reapply every time it rains.
Those are cabbage worms.
