Starting rosemary from seed can be tricky, as germination rates are usually poor and it takes several months before the plants produce any usable leaves. A combination of heat, light, moisture and the right type of planting medium are necessary to successfully grow this herb in the garden or in pots on a windowsill.

Starting Rosemary from a clipping is easier, I think....Snip off a shoot 7-8 in. in length and strip of lower leaves...Place in H2o and allow to root by itself.......Check Goggle for more details......
Isnt Rosemary a shrub? I know it's an herb but I believe this one is an evergreen and is best propagated from cuttings. My mother has one that's about 20 years old. It spreads on its own. The tender leaves are great in cooking and you can use the limbs like skewers on a grill (just make sure to soak them for 30-45mins so they don't burn over the fire). Either way, yummy.

One of the few seeds I have had trouble with. I can easily propogate from a cutting but don't feel bad, I have only been able to grow a few plants from rosemary seeds. Let it be for a while longer before giving up, some things just take longer than others.
