Any kind of vine will look great, I have seen some in ivy that look fantastic. My favorites are jasmine, sweet potato vine or climbing roses.
Clematis is a great option. It should grab onto support of the trellis and the color is beautiful!

Carolina Jasmine grows perfectly as it is a vine, but can overtake everything. Trim back a little at a time & it will cover a trellis.

Clematis come in many colors and many bloom times. You could have flowers from spring through fall.
Clematis is always a good choice. I also like honeysuckle.
