Good soil that has good drainage , moist but not wet. Compost or mulch to add nutrients to the soil. As mentioned in the attached article site: " Raspberries do best in an acidic soil between 5.8 and 6.5 on the pH scale. It's a good idea to test the soil for pH. . Depending on the results of the soil test, you can add lime to raise the pH or soil sulfur to lower the pH (make more acid)."
